After a very busy day spending time in schools located in the western end of the state, I came back to Watauga to speak at the Delta Kappa Gamma meeting. As soon as I sat down with the preservice teachers, current teachers, and retired teachers I was automatically re-energized! Everyone seemed to have so much energy and excitement about teaching! I had a wonderful time speaking with all of the teachers about my year as NC Teacher of the Year.
